O. B. Joyful - Houseboat lake Kariba
O B Joyful is a large air conditioned pontoon houseboat for rental.
Well priced, this boat will accommodate a maximum of 12 passengers.
There are 2 tender boats for fishing and game viewing and an open air splash pool. Other facilities include a portable cot suitable for children up to the age of 3 years.

Downstairs there are 2 x twin en suite cabins
Upstairs are 2 x twin cabins (not en suite).
There is also space for 6 extra guests upstairs.
All cabins are air conditioned.
Other facilities include a breakfast nook cum dining area which is also air conditioned.
The back outer deck leads onto the Bermuda Deck.
Relax and kick back under the partially shaded and very spacious top deck.
Located here is the covered dining area, as well as the bar area with bottle cooler.
Take a dip in the splash pool or relax on the sun loungers under large umbrella.

Passengers : maximum 12
Power : 220 volt power supply switching to a 24 volt DC system at 10pm when generators are switched off
Tender Boats : 1 x Dory speedboat and one raft tender with roof.
Moored at : Cutty Sark Harbour, Kariba.
A car perk fee of US$ 2.00 per vehicle per night is charged and payable on arrival at the harbour.
Boarding: 12 noon onwards but before 15h30 / disembark 10h00 although later times can be arranged on request. Guests arriving after 15h30 will not be permitted to board, and will have to find alternate overnight accommodation at their own expense.
Crew: Captain, Captain’s Assist/On board mechanic/Chef and Deckhand

Generators run from 06h00 to 22h00.
On-board Extras:
All linen and bedding as well as mosquito nets are provided.
Cleaning materials are supplied and there is a Charcoal/Wood Braai. Note that braais will be made on the shore and away from the houseboat.
Other extras include Life Jackets, Landing Nets, Keep Nets and Square and Round Plugs. Clients to bring own adaptors.
Cooler boxes are supplied for fishing/game viewing trips on the tenders.
Guests to supply their own
Swimming Towels, first aid kits, personal toiletries such as shower gel, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush etc.
Ice to keep drinks cold in the cooler boxes.
We recommend 3-4 blocks of ice per day in the winter months and 5-6 blocks of ice per day in the summer months.
Charcoal and firelighters for the braai.
Adaptors for charging cell phones, cameras etc. should also be supplied by the guest.
Fuel consumption – this is approx. useage only : 120 – 150 litres diesel per day
