If you are self driving note that the Limpopo and Shashe are seasonal rivers and prone to flash flooding.
Heading for Chobe National Park or the Okavango delta a good stop over is the small village of Nata. Overnight accommodation is available and there is also the Nata Bird Sanctuary which is well worth a visit.
Accommodation choices range from self catering bush camps to upmarket safari lodges. For those visitors travelling to Hwange or further afield in Zimbabwe. Francistown is an excellent stop over.
The Tuli Block borders Zimbabwe and South Africa and comprises diverse habitats ranging from riverine to towering sandstone cliffs.
Naturally occurring wildlife are kudu, zebra, impala, duiker, wildebeest, warthog, waterbuck, eland and the major predators.
Of particular importance is the geographical feature of Solomon’s Wall. A 30 metre high basalt tower which once formed a natural dam wall across the Motloutse river.
