As well as the famous tiger fish, there are also various species of largemouth bream tilapia, nembwe and African pike making this area a fly angler’s paradise
Game viewing is not the main highlight of this area but game walks can be arranged on some of the larger islands.
During normal cruising you will see Elephant, Hippo, Crocodiles, Red Lechwe and the rare and elusive Sitatunga antelope. The Sitatunga’s favourite food is one of the papyrus grasses (Cyperus papyrus) found floating on the currents.
This is also a spectacular area for bird enthusiasts with more than 350 species in the area including Pels Fishing Owl
