Day 2
Breakfast is at 07h30 and then you meet your canoeing guide. Your canoe guide will then give you a brief run down of the canoeing days, dangerous animals, safety measures while on the river and at the campsites, and techniques on canoeing

Lower Zambezi National Park
In addition to the herds of elephant and buffalo, other mammals to be found are giraffe, waterbuck, kudu and zebra.
Birdlife is exceptional with many unusual species to be sighted. Trumpeter hornbill, red winged pratincole. the narina trogon and swarms of quelea are just a few
to whet your appetite.
Tall acacia albida trees dominate the landscape. As well as providing much needed shade. the winterthorn pods provide nutrition for the elephant population.
the Zambezi valley is a malaria area so seek advise from your doctor before embarking no any canoe safari.
From dusk onwards those pesky insects start to make their appearance. Wear trousers and long sleeved shirts.
